FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Information Needed for Glass Edging Equipment Selection

When selecting glass edging equipment, you typically need to consider the following information:

  • Maximum and minimum glass processing dimensions: The range of sizes your glass products will be.
  • Glass thickness range: The various thicknesses of glass you will be working with.
  • Types of edge finishes required: Whether you need a bevel, round, flat, or corner edge, etc.
  • Processing speed requirements: Your desired output rate.
  • Automation requirements: Whether case opening and closing, detection, and wheel movement need automatic servo control.

When to Use a Double Edger

A double edger can be understood as a comprehensive upgrade and replacement for a single edger. It offers significant improvements, especially when processing large and thick glass, by:

  • Enhancing operational safety: Reducing losses from handling heavy glass and minimizing personnel injuries.
  • Improving processing efficiency and polishing effect: Achieving higher throughput and better finish quality.
  • Increasing functional versatility: Offering a wider range of capabilities.

Industries Suited for Our Glass Edging Equipment

Our glass edging equipment is suitable for almost all glass industries, including:

  • Construction
  • Home Appliances
  • Furniture
  • Interior Decoration
  • Photovoltaics

Factors Affecting Glass Edging Equipment Processing Speed

The processing speed of edging equipment is influenced by numerous factors. When glass thickness and batch changes remain constant, it is related to:

  • Main drive motor speed: The rotational speed of the primary motor.
  • Mechanical structure precision and stability: The accuracy and steadiness of the machine's components.
  • Grinding wheel speed: The rotational speed of the grinding wheels.
  • Number and quality of grinding wheels: Both the quantity and the material quality of the wheels.

When to Use a Full-Servo Automatic Double Edging Production Line

A full-servo automatic double edging production line is suitable for scenarios where:

  • Daily production capacity requirements are high or large-sized glass needs to be processed.
  • The number of operators is small, experience is limited, and processing batches change frequently.

What is a Miter Machine?

Often referred to as an angle changing machine, this equipment can precisely process glass edges at any angle from 0 to 60 degrees. It's particularly well-suited for enhancing decorative glass products like glass cabinets.

Equipment Voltage Parameters

Typically, our equipment is configured for 380V 50Hz. Customization is available to meet specific customer requirements.

What are Rough Grinding and Fine Grinding?

When describing the rough and fine grinding modes of the equipment, it typically refers to the brightness of the glass bottom edge. Rough grinding generally results in a frosted or matte texture, while fine grinding produces a highly polished effect.

Terms of Trade

Default Quotation and Payment Terms

The default quotation is FOB, and the payment terms are 30% advance payment and 70% settled before goods are loaded, with payment made via T/T.

General Delivery Time

  • Double Edging Production Line: 60 days
  • Single Edger: 30-40 days
  • Double Edger and Single Machine: 50 days

Standards for Goods Loading and Packaging

All equipment is wrapped with high-quality PVC film and bubble wrap. The bottom is secured with an iron frame and wooden blocks, and the middle is positioned with steel wires.

Equipment Certifications

Our equipment comes with ISO9001, CE, and ROSH certifications. We can also cooperate with customers to complete other certifications required for market access.

Installation & Operation

Installation and Training Services

Upon the equipment's arrival at the customer's factory, we will dispatch engineers for installation and on-site training for factory personnel. Training content includes daily maintenance, equipment operation, and replacement of wearing parts.

Can Inexperienced Operators Operate the Equipment?

  • Full-servo double edging production lines can achieve fully automatic processing of different glass specifications, eliminating the need for manual adjustment of grinding wheel feed and batch switching. This reduces glass handling, making it suitable for factories with limited labor and a lack of experienced operators.
  • Manual glass edging equipment requires manual adjustment of the machine's opening and closing and grinding wheel feed based on processing batches and grinding wheel wear. This results in lower processing efficiency and requires more experienced operators.

Maintenance & Upkeep

How to Maintain Edging Equipment Daily

Our personnel will provide equipment maintenance knowledge during on-site installation. The most crucial points are:

  1. Cleaning of dust and glass shards.
  2. Ensuring sufficient lubrication and proper functioning of the lubrication system.
  3. Maintaining the cleanliness of the cooling water source.
